With a heavy heart ... my website is coming down :-(

So I've had to make some decisions over the past few days about what to do with my class website http://www.misswhyte.com . My renewal date is coming up (first week in August) and I have been debating whether I should pay for the server and domain to keep the site up as a teacher resource or to take it down and well tonight the decision was made for me.
As a Mac user I was very excited today when the newest OS update Lion was pushed out and after using it for a few hours, it's great!!
BUT I didn't realize that when I upgraded to Lion that my Webdesign software from 2008: Dreamweaver 8, Fireworks 8, and Flash 8 would become outdated and I wouldn't be able to open any of the software or be able to update my websites. So the time has come... my website established in 2008 is officially is coming down. :-( You officially have two weeks to snag freebies and photo examples off my website and after that well you'll have to hope I still have them on my computer and there's no guarantee of that right now. I'm glad the blogging community has been so supportive and the teaching community has come together.
I have worked as a mentor teacher for many years and my website has been such a support for so many of you and teachers world wide. I love getting emails from teachers who stumbled upon my website asking for advice or help. Many teachers emailed me to ask for permission to adapt my activities and were looking for ideas to help themselves to support their students in the classroom. I have always believed that activities should be free of charge and to do so I helped to establish the Second Grade Teachers Club which has now over 7,000 members and I am the founder of the Kindergarten Teachers' Lounge started last year but has limited membership (150 contributing members) both free for teacher file sharing on Ning.
I will continue to share activities here on my blog but I'm hoping to join the bandwagon and begin to sell my products with the TPT community. I really have a heavy heart tonight since this decision was made earlier tonight and hope those of you out there understand. Don't worry my blog will continue on and I guess if nothing else this will make me more focused on here to share my story.... I keep telling myself that everything happens for a reason...
